DUBUQUE PONDS starting with Kathy's:

1) Kathy's pond 2531 Kennedy Road. Installed August 2003.
       A large "L" shape, about 22' x 18' with a 35' meandering
stream and waterfall. Lots of play areas for lots of fish,
and a couple of tunnels for them to hide in.
Our pond is open just about any time. Just stop in!

2) Chris & Heidi Ludesher 3068 Arbor Oaks Drive. Take Kennedy
to Spring Valley Rd. Head east on Spring Valley. Take Arbor
Oaks about half way around and you'll find 3068. Another
landscaper did this pond 3 to 4 years ago. Kathy & her crew
helped out this spring by resetting rocks, lights, plants, etc.
They have pictures of before, during, and after. Heidi also
loves the toads, frogs, tadpoles, and of course: the fish!

3) Dick Palmer 2702 Tiffany Court ( just off West 32nd )
Installed April 2006. Dick had an old preformed jobbie that
had numerous leaks. We tore it out. We put in an 8' x 11'
Aquascape pond, with about a 14' waterfall. They love it!!
The back deck overlooks the entire yard. The pond and
waterfall is the center of attention!

4) Alvin's Pool & Spa 3414 Pennsylvania ( Penn & Kennedy)
A neat little indoor pond! With a fantastic wall painting by
Elaine Klein. Open only until noon on Saturday. You may
also visit anytime during regular business hours.
      Installed April 2006.

5) Richardson Motors 1465 Kennedy Road ( north of the mall )
Installed July 2005. A very unique entry way. Easy plant
material, stamped concrete path, oval fountain showing off
      specially drilled volcanic fountain stone.

6) Steve & Dee Langel 4975 Asbury Circle ( just off Radford )
A cozy patio on the back of this house with its own private
8' x 10' pond, short stream, and waterfall. Just enough to
enjoy it from all rooms on the back of the house. Installed
      August of 2005.

7) Dave & DeLynn Fangman 5530 Greencrest Court Asbury
Take Asbury Rd. to Casey's, head north on Springreen Dr.
Greencrest Ct. will be the 4th left turn off Springreen.
DeLynn is one of my wonderful workers! And this is one
of the first ponds we installed. It was Delynns' idea to have
a spring bubbling up near the patio and house, and then
cascade about 75' across and down the hill. The rushing water
partially circles the pond before falling into it. The pond is
      about 22' x 15'. It's a very special & private setting!
      Installed July 2003.

8) Carl & Carol McCarthy 5605 Asbury Rd. Asbury. Just past
Casey's, on the corner of Asbury & Heacock Roads.
Installed in '98 or '99, by a landscaper from Cedar Rapids.
Setting just off the patio and sunroom, this pond features
split streams cascading around an island before falling into
the pond. Kathy & her crew gave this pond a "face-lift"
during spring cleaning season. A very nice pond.

9) Carl & Kay Hartung 11206 Lakeview Dr. Barrington Lake
Usually referred to as "The BEST OF THE TOUR". This is
A definite must see! Take Barrington Drive off Hwy 20.
Continue straight past the lake. Take the 1st right onto
Lakeview Dr. Lakeview forks, so stay to the lower right. At
The bottom of the dip, make a left into a double driveway.
And then go to the house on the left. Carl & Kay bought
This empty yard and house about 2 ½ years ago. The first
Thing they did was to have us install the waterfall. It's at
Least 50' long. Lots of shrubbery, flowers, grasses, twists,
Turns, falls, huge boulders, and lots of special touches. They
Have added many roses, Greek statues, setting areas. Now,
They are starting into the wooded ravine areas. This yard
Was a hit on the Tour of Gardens two weeks ago!
Installed August 2005. This is more than just a waterfall!
It's a work of ART!!!

10) Don & Jo Vize 10538 Cardinal Drive, Peosta Take Hwy 20 to Thunderhills Rd.
Head north on Thunderhills Rd. At the stop sign, make a left. Take the first
left onto Cardinal. 10538 will be at the end, on the left. A DO-IT-YOURSELF
Project last summer. Don & Jo have a huge yard and wanted to do a pond
themselves. They worked all summer on it, and really did an excellent job!
Don and his friends joked about the "pond police" (aka Kathy) would come
along and fine them for doing it all wrong! She did not even get the ticket book
       out. They did a great job!!! It's a BIG pond: about 11' x 20'. With a curving
twenty five foot waterfall. Very impressive!

11)Bill & Trish Folger 2481 Green St. Between Pennsylvania & Asbury,
near Flora pool. What a great setting! An enclosed back yard, viewing
from the favorite room of the house, and centered perfectly in the yard!
Pond is about 6' x 8' with a 15' stream and waterfall. Perfect size to view
If your thinking about adding a pond to a smaller yard. First time this
Pond has been included in the tour. Installed May 2006.

12)Bill Fordice 1110 Langworthy A DO-IT-YOURSELF project! Installed spring 2004.
Bill has done an excellent job in his back yard. He's changed things a number
of times, and he loves every bit of it! He's wound the stream all around the yard
and patio before dropping it into the 9' x 9' pond. It's great from where ever you
are in the yard. It may be a bit smaller than the others, but again, It's a great
       setting!

13)Jim & Julie Gross 2345 Clarke Crest Drive. A DO-IT-YOURSELF project!
Installed spring 2005. Jim & Julie really wanted to build the pond themselves.
It took them a couple of years to get around to it. But they are so happy with
the results. They love it! However, they both agree, if they had to do it over again,
they'd hire us! The pond is about 11' x 15' with a 15' stream and waterfall.

14) Jim & Marge Heisler 9973 Ginger Ridge (off Peru Rd.) ANOTHER DO-IT-
YOURSELF Project!!! Only this is a pondless waterfall! Our newest DIY !
Installed just this spring. Jim found Kathy last year and started asking lots of
questions. He placed his order, and started digging before Christmas!
More questions this spring. Kathy or her crew would stop by, upon request,
to offer suggestions and hints. But the work was all Jim & friends. Of course,
Marge supervised. Now they are working on the lower patio!

CUBA CITY PONDS - just west of Cuba City

15) Kevin & Karla Weiderholdt 2185 Hill Road, Cuba City This between
Cuba City & Keiler. Take Hwy H through Keiler, go past County
Road 'Z' and past Model Road. At Hill Road take a right and head east.
It's only about a city block, on the right. This country setting is a great
place for a pond! We replaced an old railroad tie wall with some huge
boulders. We made the waterfall look like a natural spring coming from
the rocks. The 35' stream meanders across the yard and finally drops
into the 12' x 25' pond. And that pond wraps around the lower patio
and upper deck. You can hear it from almost anywhere in the house.
       Installed May 2004.
PLATTEVILLE POND - next to the 'M'

16) Madilynne & Marv Flogel 30068 County 'B' , Platteville
Take Hwy 151 north from Dubuque. Take the 3rd Platteville exit: # 21.
At the off ramp go right on 'XX', away from town. Go about 2 miles.
At West Mound Road, make a left. (the only way you can go).
Go to the 2nd stop sign. It is a huge red house and farm on the corner.
The sign in front says: 'M & M Group Home'. It's a big yard and farm.
And the pond is in the front yard. YOU CAN'T MISS IT !
Some relatives of Marv & Madilynne's built this pond last fall. Madilynne
called Kathy for help this spring. Kathy & her crew came up in mid June.
They moved big rocks, medium rocks, and lots of little rock. They
re-worked the double waterfall. They added water plants and regular
plants. They had a ball working with Madilynne & Marv! This pond is
at least 40' x 40'. It has beaches. It has over-looks. It has wading
areas. It has the deep area in the middle for the koi. It has everything!
The waterfall stands 10 or 12' higher than the rest of the yard. It has
a small 10' round soaking / swimming area on top. The double
waterfalls must be 15 to 20' long. There are grasses, flowers, shrubs,
a soon to be gazebo / picnic area, and a soon to be hot tub!
YOU'VE GOT TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT !!!

GALENA PONDS

17) Cloran Mansion Bed & Breakfast 1237 Franklin St. Galena
From Hwy 20 take Franklin St. toward downtown. Cloran is close
to the highway, just before the high school, and on the left side of
the street. This pond was installed by a friendly competitor from the
Rockford area. He was working on it the same day, last year, that we
were expanding Martin Dillon's waterfall. Of course, we had to compare
notes, crews, and equipment. It was kind of fun! And of course, this is
an Aquascape pond, about 12' x 20'. The stream curves and divides, and
is about 15' to 20' long. This pond setting makes for memorable wedding
photos with the gazebo placed right next to the pond. Installed June 2006.
Owners Carmine & Cheryl Farruggia are very proud.

18) Martin & Joan Dillon 910 Young St. Galena
From Hwy 20 take Franklin St towards downtown. Or coming out of
Cloran Mansion, head downtown on Franklin St. Go past the high school.
After the 3 - 4 way stop, take a right at Barry. Take the first left (a quick left)
onto Young St. Our pond is on the corner where Young St. winds back
down into & joins Franklin again. ( You can also see it driving up Franklin )
Martin saw our display pond at the Dubuque County Fair in July 2005.

He need to replace his preformed pond, and thought this would work
perfectly. He also hoped there was room for a waterfall. We were able
to give him exactly what he wanted. Now, Martin & Joan enjoy sitting on
the patio, listening to & watching the waterfall, while the world drives by!
This pond is about 8' x 10'. The waterfall is about 18', almost straight
up the hill! Installed August 2005.

BELLEVUE PONDS

19) Max & Mary Reed 500 South Riverview Bellevue
Be sure you find 500 SOUTH Riverview… As 500 North Riverview does not
have a pond! Take Hwy 52 into Bellevue. Go past the center
of town, to the corner of Church and South Riverview. ( Hwy 52 & Riverview
are one in the same.) It's right on the corner, in the back yard. This pond is
fabulous! The pond snugs right up to the limestone patio and enclosed deck.
This was huge project a few hot summers ago. We had tree roots in every
shovel! Everyone in town checked our progress, and played a few jokes on
us and Max. Mary made up for it by baking cookies and brownies, and
serving us lemonade! It was very, very hot. Max strung up a tarp for shade,
which helped a lot. It was a 2 to 3 week long project. In spite of the heat,
the finished project, is one to be proud of. Max and Mary show it off to every-
        one. The pond is a large 'L' shape, about 16' x 24', with about a 10' stream
and waterfall. Installed July 2004. The next summer Max built a bridge to
span the pond. It really sets the whole thing off.

20) Frank & Barb Strathman 22828 417th Avenue, Bellevue. ( 417th Avenue is
also known as Duck Creek Lane) This is only 2 miles south of Bellevue, right
next to the river! BOTH BELLEVUE PONDS ARE WORTH THE DRIVE!
From Bellevue, continue south on Hwy 52, about 2 miles. Take a left on 417th
cross the tracks, and take the driveway to the left, up a small hill and you're
there! The house is set back from the river, but still overlooks the water.
Great view! The house has a level patio, and then slopes off towards the river.
We built a limestone retaining wall part way down. And sandwiched the pond
in for a perfect fit. Installed June 2005. The pond is about 10' x 15' , with
about a 15' stream and waterfall. This patio always had a fantastic view. Now,
the waterfall sounds really make things special… even if it's just morning coffee!
No matter when you sit here …Ahhh…. Is the perfect sentiment!
